Time to Eat Healthy!

Have you ever heard of the Mediterranean Diet?  Well, you have now!  Not only do I eat gluten free, but I love to try new recipes that help me to eat new vegetables.  The Mediterranean Diet is about eating fresh fruits and vegetables and eating less refined carbohydrates, sweets, and even meats.   One might look at this pyramid and think, “Yes, my whole grain bread is still on the list!”  It is, but the focus is on eating whole grains as in oatmeal, buckwheat groats, quinoa, brown rice, etc.

Lucky for you and me, one of my favorite gluten free blogs, The Gluten Free Goddess Blogspot, has a list of yummy recipes all based on this type of diet.  So hop on over to Karina’s website and find a new recipe to add some variety to the menu.

  1. You are welcome Karen. I have tried so many of Karina’s recipes and they are delicious! Her quinoa recipes are great, as well as her hummus. And one of my favorite soups is the Mediterranean Chicken Soup for the Soul. I hope you enjoy!

  2. There are so many to choose from. I recommended a few to Karen. The thing about some of Karina’s recipes is that they might sound like the ingredients don’t go together, but trust her- they do.
When I want to try a new recipe, Karina’s website is the first one I go to.
